Carbon Resource Management is working on 45 CDM projects in Asia. The company’s highly respected team of experienced professionals work closely with the company’s clients, taking projects from their initial concept stage, all the way through the CDM cycle and finally obtaining funding from the sale of the emission reductions.
The company has a proven track record, stemming from having prepared the PDD for the first windfarm in the world to be registered under the CDM, as well as for the first CDM project in China. The team is presently working on windpower, biomass, coal mine methane, waste heat recovery and small-scale hydropower projects.
Based upon its strong presence in Asia and an experienced team, the company is working with its partners in a number of new areas and with new CDM methodologies. Carbon Resource Management has a portfolio of 25 million tonnes of emission reductions and has successfully gained CDM registration for 15 of its projects, with a further 20 soon to submit for registration. The company is now embarking on a major growth phase to increase its portfolio by 20 million tonnes by the end of 2008. |

The Gold Standard

The Gold Standard in a non-profit foundation that provides a project methodology and quality carbon credit label for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the CDM/JI and voluntary markets. We provide support and capacity building to project developers and investors and also connect buyers and sellers. Gold Standard projects and their subsequent carbon credits must pass three important screens in order to wear the Gold Standard label:
1. Renewable energy or energy efficiency projects only 2. Projects must pass the UNFCCC Additionality tool
3. Projects must complete a sustainable development assessment matrix to show that the project contributes to improved econommic, environmental and social conditions for recipient communities.
Many buyers are willing to pay premium prices for GS credits and GS projects readily gain up-front project finance. Major buyers include CAM and the Belgian Tender. |
