Hailed
as the father of the MP3 format, Karlheinz Brandenburg first discovered
this ubiquitous audio compression format as a specialist in mathematics
trying to find ways to compress music files. From being used only in
university research to becoming the commercially available invention
that it is today, his invention has truly come a long way.

Co-founder
of PDI/DreamWorks over 30 years ago, which received an Academy
Technical Achievement Award in 1998, Richard Chuang is a pioneer in the
computer graphics and digital effects industry. As a studio executive,
Richard worked on developing production capacity on a global scale for
DreamWorks Animation, including multi-national productions that spanned
across Asia and Europe.
