CARBON EXPO ASIA a resounding success

Unique business and knowledge sharing platform introduced in Asia

CARBON EXPO ASIA, the Asian Carbon Market Fair & Conference, closed this Friday after two days of high-level meetings, panel discussions, technology forums, business-to-business exchanges and public events.

The event's organizers – the World Bank, the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Koelnmesse – have called the first CARBON EXPO ASIA "a successful follow-up to the global CARBON EXPO trade fair and conference in Cologne”.

In a joint statement

"CARBON EXPO ASIA is a milestone for the Carbon Market in the growing Asian marketplace. It has succeeded in bringing together all projects, services, initiatives and developments involving the Asian Carbon Market under one roof. Key players from around the region were able to network with the movers and shakers in the global market, some for the first time."

“CARBON EXPO ASIA has generated much-needed awareness for the entire emission reductions trade in this part of the world, and provided an impetus for Asian nations to adopt low-carbon technology,"
Ms. Joëlle Chassard
Manager of the World Bank’s Carbon Finance Unit
Mr. Andrei Marcu
President & CEO of IETA
Mr. Michael Dreyer
Vice President Asia Pacific of Koelnmesse

We thank all participants who made this event such a success.
