News: Record growth despite tough year for hardware industry
Asia’s top hardware and DIY trade fair crosses the 100,000 square metre mark with a 10% increase in exhibitors and over 34,000 visitors.
Asia’s largest hardware and DIY trade show, China International Hardware Show (CIHS 2008), powered by PRACTICAL WORLD, ended its run on 19 September in Shanghai. Held over three days, this year’s event was a record-breaking 103,500 square metres. 2,000 renowned local and foreign exhibitors from a total of 19 countries, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, USA, United Kingdom, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, India, Israel, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, Korea, Turkey, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan, participated this year, a 10% increase from last year’s 1,821. A total of 3,000 international and 31,000 domestic visitors[1] attended the show over the 3-days, a 4% increase from 2007.
These outstanding results, despite the tough economic challenges facing the industry, prove once again that CIHS is Asia’s top trade fair for hardware & DIY. Read more
China International Hardware Show will be held in Shanghai next year from 16 – 18 September 2009.
