CSII Product Database
With the rapid development of China’s sports industry, especially with the positive influence of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, China’s Sports Facility Construction Industry has entered a stage of rapid growth. Major sports activities such as the 2009 East Asian Games, 2009 11th National Games, 2010 Asian Games, and the 2011 World University Games, will be held in Hong Kong, Jinan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen respectively over the next four years. Therefore, hundreds of billions of RMB will be invested on the construction of sports facilities. It is said that the Guangzhou Asian Games alone will renovate and build 82 sports facilities, one of which will be for the opening ceremony, 56 sports facilities and 25 matching training facilities.
China National Sports Group Consultancy Center (CNSGCC) and China Sports Industry International (CSII) are the most professional sports facility construction consultancy organizations in China. CSII has become the only official consulting service provider for 2010 Asia Games Organizing Committee and 2011 Universiade Organizing Committee, offering consulting services on sports facility technical requirements, product selection and recommendations, to the local sports administration. Moreover, the State Administration of Sports has provided support to the areas suffered by the May earthquake in Sichuan. They will invest RMB 4.2 billion for the construction and renewal of sports facilities in these areas.
In order to better meet the demand of sports facility owners, CSII and CNSG plan to build up a product database, which will be regarded as the basis for CSII' consulting service on product recommendation. Establishing such a database of sports facility products will enhance the quality and reliability of sports products. The register also serves as an integral tool in the strategic assessment in sporting provision and priorities for future investment. It is designed to assist in investment decisions and the development of infrastructure improvement strategies for sport. Working alongside of ISFE 2008, the database will also provide services and assist exhibitors with sports facility project biddings.
