Bangkok Convention Centre (BCC), complemented by the Centara Grand and World Ballroom, is the new stunning landmark on the city's skyline. The centre's dynamic design was inspired by the unique shape of a "Blooming Lotus" that combines the symbolic theme of the four elements of life; water, earth, air and fire, and together captures the true spirit of this new Bangkok icon. This state-of-the-art convention centre offers over 10,000 square meter with ceiling height of 13.5 meters and the ability to accommodate up to 6,000 delegates in a single pillar-less environment.

Bangkok Convention Centre at Centara Grand at CentralWorld has successfully achieved the prestigious Certification Silver Status under Earthcheck Certification standard managed by EC3 Global. To gain this, they have had to report their environmental footprint to independent auditors and adhere to internationally recognized standard of Best Practice. Securing a highly ranked benchmarking result requires a strong commitment across all level of organization and the imbedding of sustainability principles into all policies and procedures.

During the process, Bangkok Convention Centre at Centara Grand at CentralWorld was also required to submit a year's worth of operational data which was benchmarked against industry Best Practice. The data was then measured against a number of key indicators such as energy and water consumption, total waste production and comminity commitment.
